Assistant Brewer

Round Trip Brewing is seeking a full-time, experienced brewer with a start date of June 17th. As we continue into our fourth year of business, production needs are growing through our state-wide distribution and new location opening in East Cobb. We operate a three-vessel, fifteen-barrel Probrew brewhouse with current fermentation capacity for 1,800 BBLs annually. Our new East Cobb facility has a two-vessel, five-barrel brewhouse for experimenting and one-off creations. 

Job Requirements

  • Must be 21+
  • At least one year experience in a production brewery
  • Rotating early/late shift schedule with occasional weekend shift
  • Mechanical and electrical aptitude is a plus
  • Good communication, self-starter, critical thinking, and organized
  • Team player that is self-motivated, a problem solver, and proactive
  • Ability to demonstrate Round Trip Brewing values
  • Ability to communicate effectively with employees and guests

Reports to:

  • CEO & Head Brewer
  • Wort production and brewhouse CIPs
  • Fermenter and brite tank CIP’s
  • Plate and frame filtration and brite beer transfers
  • Washing kegs on Stainless Solutions keg washer
  • Receive raw materials
  • Dry hopping and other downstream processes
  • Perform quality control and quality assurance testing
  • Actively find improvements for the beer and our processes
  • Canning on Microcanner Atomic
  • Must be willing to pitch in on tasks outside your key responsibilities
  • A solid understanding of brewing and fermentation sciences
  • Must be able to lift 55 lbs and move 140 lbs occasionally
  • Must be able to stand for 8-10 hours per day
  • Must be competent with Google drive applications
  • Must be able to operate a forklift and scissor lift (training provided)
  • Experience with Ekos Brewmaster is a plus
  • Ability to work independently and on a team
  • This position is extremely physical and demanding in nature and involves working with potentially dangerous equipment, machinery, exposure to high noise levels, and handling of hazardous materials
Job Benefits
  • Pay Rate: $20/HR
  • Average 40-45 hour work week with overtime hours paying 1.5X hourly rate
