Round Trip Brewing Company is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Taproom & Events Manager to lead the daily operations of our West Midtown taproom, event space, and beer garden. This role is responsible for cultivating a welcoming, community-driven environment for guests while empowering and developing a high-performing taproom team. The Taproom & Events Manager ensures that our beer, brand, and hospitality standards are consistently and proudly represented.
This is a hands-on leadership position that blends hospitality operations, event sales, staff development, and cross-department collaboration.
Taproom & Staff Leadership
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise taproom operations and staff schedules.
- Collaborate with the leadership team on recruitment, hiring, onboarding, performance management, and staff recognition.
- Coach, counsel, and provide constructive feedback to taproom staff to reinforce a strong hospitality mindset and authentic guest engagement.
- Lead by example by working shifts as needed and assisting with taproom operations, tours, and special events.
- Participate in regular staff meetings to share updates, train on new procedures and events, and gather team feedback.
Events Sales & Management
- Sell, book, and coordinate private events, a major component of taproom revenue.
- Respond promptly to event inquiries and proactively seek new event opportunities to increase bookings.
- Proactively reach out to potential new or returning clients to sell private events.
- Oversee event execution to ensure a positive guest experience and smooth operations.
Guest Experience & Community Building
- Foster a community-focused culture for both employees and guests.
- Interact with customers regularly to ensure an exceptional and welcoming experience.
- Design and implement strategies to increase taproom traffic and strengthen guest relationships.
- Schedule food vendors and coordinate with vendors as needed for events and taproom service
Beer Knowledge & Education
- Collaborate with the brewing team to lead regularly scheduled beer education sessions.
- Ensure taproom staff is well trained on Round Trip beers, including beer styles, ingredients, brewing processes, and brand stories.
Operations, Safety & Inventory
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment in the taproom, beer garden, and parking areas.
- Ensure proper merchandise displays, up-to-date signage, and current menus.
- Perform regular inspections to ensure spaces are safe, presentable, and guest-ready.
- Manage inventory for taproom goods, including merchandise, paper goods, and office supplies; conduct monthly inventories.
- Ensure a safe working environment at all times and that accidents or incidents are reported promptly.
- Follow all cash handling and POS procedures accurately and consistently.
Collaboration & Communication
- Coordinate with the marketing team to ensure events, promotions, and brand messaging are aligned and effectively promoted.
- Participate in weekly leadership team meetings and complete action items by established deadlines.
- Maintain open communication with other managers, recognizing that responsibilities may overlap and teamwork is essential.
- Enthusiasm for craft beer and a passion for exceptional guest service.
- Previous hospitality management experience (3–5 years preferred).
- Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Highly organized, energetic, and detail-oriented.
- Flexible availability, including weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization.
- Knowledge of the brewing process is a plus.
- Cicerone certification or willingness to become certified.
- Ability to adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations regarding the service of alcoholic beverages.
