O'zapft is! Oktoberfest is back and bigger than ever! This year's festivities will take place at both our West Midtown and East Cobb taprooms with unique activities taking place at each.
This year's nine day autumnal celebration kicks off 21 September with our annual Field Day event and the release of the Oak-Aged Oktoberfest Märzen.
A full schedule of activities, celebrations, food vendors, music, and more are outlined below. Check back here for the latest details as many events are subject to change and adjustment.
Oktoberfest is FREE to attend, which is to say there are no tickets required for entry. Simply come and buy beer as normal.

THE BEER
OKTOBERFEST
Our Oktoberfest is a traditional Märzen-style lager brewed using German malts with Magnum and Tettnang hops. We lager Oktoberfest for at least six-weeks to mature the moderately toasted bread flavors, smooth sweetness, and easily drinkable profile.
OAK-AGED OKTOBERFEST
After Oktoberfest finished lagering, we selected an unfiltered segment for an autumnal upgrade by soaking it in oak spirals. This enhances the flavor with a subtle, almost imperceptible whisper of vanilla and toasted wood, a gentle caress on the tongue that adds a layer of complexity to the already satisfying malt backbone.

East Cobb
Join us for an elevated abendessen featuring a full German menu with each dish paired with a specific beer.

SMALL DOG RACE
Sunday, 22 September
West Midtown
Dogs under 20lbs are eligible to participate in the small dog race (we will separate into separate heats depending on the number of dogs participating). The course is straight, short, and confined. Each dog will need two humans: one at the start and one at the finish line.
Race at 1pm.
Dog Day Afternoon
After the race, all dogs are eligible to enter the talent show to showcase their skills. We will also have a costume contest for the best dressed dogs!
STEIN HOLDING
West Midtown
Saturdays, 21 & 28 September
Stein holding competitions will be held each Saturday at the West Midtown taproom. See how long you can hold a full stein against others for a prize. Must be 21+ to participate.
East Cobb
Weekends, 21-22 & 28-29 September
Stein holding competitions will be held each Saturday and Sunday at the East Cobb taproom. See how long you can hold a full stein against others for a prize. Must be 21+ to participate.
SPEED PUZZLE MASTERS
Tuesday, 24 September, 6:30pm
West Midtown
Gather your friends to complete an German-themed 1000-piece jigsaw puzzle as fast as possible. $15 minimum bar tab per team or purchase a puzzle to play. Gift cards for the top three teams.

MODERN CALLIGRAPHY FOR BEGINNERS
Tuesday, 24 September, 7-8:30pm
East Cobb
An introduction to modern calligraphy with a pointed dip pen and ink in this workshop. All the basics will be covered. Class includes 1.5 hours of instruction and demonstration, beginner’s calligraphy kit (two nibs, black ink pot, 2 letter guides, tracing paper, and straight pen holder), and all materials to write on.
