Beer Flight Podcast: Proper Sport
Considering the UK and Europe host so many great sporting events – top flight soccer, golf tournaments, auto racing, cycling races, tennis tournaments, and more – chances are you have the opportunity to take in a sporting event wherever you are in Europe. In this episode we offer some advice on how to plan your trip, how to score tickets, what to expect, as well as what to drink.
Our guest is Michael Poffenberger who has spent decades traveling with his family all over Europe attending Le Mans, hundreds of soccer matches, and other sporting events.
A little bit of pre-planning can go a long way, even for pre-match drinking. You’ll want to check out bars that are safe for supporters, non-supporters, and family. Drinking in a soccer stadium may not be as robust as you typically expect, and you may not be able to drink within view of the pitch. When traveling to and from the event, the train may be your best option. We discuss all of this and more in this episode of Beer Flight.
Carlsberg signed on to become the official sponsor Liverpool FC in 1992. It’s since been the longest standing partnership in the Premier League through the good and bad times of the club.
