Notes from Great American Beer Festival

Great American Beer Festival (GABF) took place earlier this month in beautiful Denver, CO and once again Round Trip Brewing Co attended the annual gathering of 60,000 industry reps and beer enthusiasts. For Craig Mycoskie, our founder and head brewer, it was his 13th straight GABF and second time judging a variety of beer categories.

On Saturday, the lucky visitors to the CollaBEERation Tent were able to sample Rahr Trip – our dry hopped Krystall Weizen collaboration with Rahr & Sons Brewing Company. While Rahr Trip did not earn a medal in the collaboration category, it did earn high marks and positive reviews from everyone who sampled it.

GABF gave us the opportunity to meet new friends from breweries we admire, discuss business with potential vendors, and sample the endless array of beer from around the nation. We also met up with our good friends from Denver Beer Co, Epic Brewing, Post Brewing, Rahr & Sons, Wayfinder Brewing, and more.

Next year, the plan is to enter original Round Trip beer for the awards and for Craig to add to his collection of six GABF medals won with previous breweries.
