When we set out to brew a Baltic Porter which is a strong black lager – or a lager version of a stout – we knew the beer would be able to stand on its own, but we wanted something more. While the beer cold aged for months, we set out to find the perfect coffee to infuse into the beer. This is the story of how we settled on a bean that hails from the cradle of the coffee in Ethiopia and roasted right here in Atlanta by Docent Coffee.

Opening 19 February

After a long, pandemic-filled journey, the Round Trip Brewery taproom is now open to the public. We have plenty of space to stay distant between our taproom, event space, and beer garden. Our beer is centered on the idea of elevating German styles and common US styles. Our first beers include our Alt, Dunkel Platz, Pilsner, Rye’d Share, and Vicarious IPA.

Wrap on Construction

As we comb through the taproom lighting fixtures for dead lightbulbs, it dawns on us how far we have come over the past year. Just a week prior we did not have our own power and we were flushing the toilets for the first time. A year ago in November, construction officially began when crews began tearing into the floors to repair and replace the piping and plumbing. And now, construction has officially wrapped up and we can move forward on the next steps toward opening a brewery.
